Register evidence & export
Once your answers are approved, two things are left: turn the good answers into reusable evidence, and get the finished questionnaire back to whoever asked for it.
What "done" looks like
A questionnaire reaches In review automatically once every question has an answer, and that's as far as the module moves it on its own. There's no "Submitted" or "Completed" status to set: a questionnaire is done when its answers are approved and you've sent the answered copy back. So "finishing" is really two deliberate steps you take from here.
Register approved answers as evidence
An approved answer is a small, sourced attestation about your security posture, worth keeping rather than sending once. Registering it adds it to your Evidence Locker, where it can back up controls and be reused across future questionnaires and audits.
Depending on your organization's settings, this can happen automatically when you approve an answer. Otherwise, register answers yourself: on an approved answer, click Register as evidence. The control then shows the answer is linked, with a click-through to its evidence record.
Only approved answers can be registered as evidence; a pending or rejected draft can't be. If auto-registration is off and an approval didn't produce an evidence record, register it by hand from the answer.
Bundle evidence into a pack
To hand a set of answers to an auditor or customer as one artifact, build an Evidence Pack. From the Review Center header, click Create evidence pack; it opens pre-loaded with the evidence this questionnaire has produced.
Name the pack, pick a type (audit response, certification, assessment, and so on), reorder the items, and create it. A pack can then be sealed (locked as a point-in-time record) and exported for submission.
Download the answered copy
The answered copy is what you send back. From a questionnaire's row menu, choose Download answered copy. SolveGRC rebuilds the questionnaire with two columns added, Answer and Review Status, filled in from your latest answers, and downloads it as Excel or CSV to match the original.
The answered copy is rebuilt from the extracted questions, so it contains the question rows and your answers, without decorative rows like section banners or cover-sheet text from the original. Each question shows your most recent answer.
To get the file exactly as it came in, use Download in the same menu; it returns the original uploaded document.
Send it back
There's no built-in "send to requester" on this side of the product; the answered copy is a download. Return it the way the customer expects: reply to their email with the file attached, or upload it to their portal. Keeping the approved answers as registered evidence means that the next time this customer (or another) asks something similar, the AI already has your approved wording to draw from.
Export the whole list
Separately, the Export button on the Questionnaires hub downloads a CSV of every questionnaire and its progress: name, status, question counts, percent answered, created date. It's a portfolio-level snapshot for reporting, not the answered-copy deliverable.
That's the full lifecycle: from an uploaded file to approved, sourced answers, reusable evidence, and a copy ready to return. Start again at the Overview for the map, or jump to any stage from the sidebar.
